In the early 2000s, Reebok shoes teamed up to create a new 'gucci inspired' sneaker for Hip-Hop artist
Jay-Z! The new Hip-Hop shoe was entitled the "Reebok S Carter," and was an instant success. In fact the S.Carter
outsold all Nike and adidas shoes, flying off store shelves across the United States. Limited at first, Reebok
used the momentum gained to launch a full Hip Hop shoes collection for Jay-Z which continued to do well.
A known hustler, Jay-Z turned the Reebok S Carter's success into a full sneaker brand. Not only Hip Hop shoes, but
the S.Carter Mids were created for basketball. Another "S Carter Tennis Low" was created for raquet sports players.
