Nike is once again celebrating Chinese culture with the release of a rat-inspired New Years sneaker. Officially titled the Nike Wildwood Free Year of the Rat Lows, 2 colorways were released of these sneakers, white and grey.

Past designs for the Chinese New Year include the Year of the Dog and Year of the Horse, but this choice of sneaker goes a little out of Nike's normal choices for this holiday.

This could be the sign of a shift coming to the US market as well, which is so inspired by Japanese streetwear and fashion culture currently. The Nike wildwood free's are the typical sneaker head's choice but it may be a trendsetting move. Time will tell!
